The Shimano PD-RS500 SPD-SL Road Cycing pedals are entry level strong and durable. They have a lighter spring tension, which makes it simple for the new cyclist to cleat and uncleat easily. It has a wider platform to enhance more power transfer through the pedal and it has a stainless steel body plate which will reduce flex and wear. It has a sealed mechanism in the cartridge axle and a cleat retention adjuster. As the rider gains more experience cleating and uncleating, they can tighten the pedals around the cleat for a firmer fit. It includes SM-SH11 cleats with +/-3° angular float. It is also compatible to SM-SH10 and SM-SH12 cleats (both sold separately).
