The all new Gripton T2 centre compound is the most efficient and fastest compound ever developed by Specialized. This T2 is placed in the centre of the dual compound so that it eeks out the best possible speed, while preserving the longevity of the tyre with the T5 compound on the shoulders. This gives phenomenal grip where you need it through any tight, tricky corner. You get an extra 8% more puncture protection due to the new hybrid-Kevlar Blackbelt breaker which they have set just under the tread. It has a light supple casing so that overal you can ride with confidence, knowing that you have grip, speed, decent puncture resistance, durability but ultimately it is a lightweight tyre that will give you the best performance possible.
It all adds up to a S-Works Turbo tube type tire that 4 watts faster per set than the previous S-Works Turbo and that weighs just 200 grams for a 24mm. This is S-Works level speed with a tube.
